LOZ

CURRENT EXHIBITION
Combining charcoal drawing, bark and pastel still life works, Loz explores the medley of decay, debris, life and transformation that confronts and shapes our humanity.
Task Irrelevant Thoughts (TITS) celebrates the freedom to explore life's random pathways of inspiration, knowing that the common threads of human connection always emerge in our response to the ever-changing world.

PARALLEL JOURNEYS
My soft pastel journey, like my life journey, is focused on continuing to learn and explore.
Like jumping on a surfboard for the first time at the age of 53, understanding that most of the time I will be in the whitewash.
Inspired by the Dutch still life artists, these works play with light, tone and communicating through subject and composition.
My journey, whilst creative, is far less perilous than many-I want to dedicate these works to the many musicians and artists who have had to embark on treacherous journeys as refugees to flee persecution and conflict.
Donations for these pastel studies will go directly to six Afghani families supported by Trentham Rural Australians for Refugees. These families, that include three musicians and artists, have been in hiding since the return of the Taliban in Afghanistan.
